This organization (formerly R.E.A.C.H. Autism Foundation) was established in November of 2011 when a local autism consultant decided it was time to help those in our community diagnosed with ASD obtain the much needed services they deserve. Even though autism is recognized as a medical condition and is mandated in the state of Indiana to be covered by insurance, many children and families in Bloomington do not have this benefit and cannot access the services that could help them. The Foundation is focusing on children and families of children in the Bloomington and Monroe County area of Indiana. It is an IRS Sec 501(c)(3) charitable organization and all contributions may be fully tax deductible.
The Monroe County Autism Foundation’s Stand Up for Autism comedy show is scheduled for Wednesday evening, April 12th at 7:00PM. Last year’s show was GREAT, and I’m sure this year’s performances won’t disappoint.
Andrew Lambert, President of MCAF, will be host and MC for the night.
